BAND WORK
Unlike a lot of freelance players I am willing to attend a limited number of rehearsals for working bands or bands with a series or gigs locked in. I understand most peoples' nervousness when using sub.
I'll learn my parts studiously but I also expect a band to be organized and efficient with rehearsals. You'll need to have repertoire CDs and at least arrangement sheets if you want things to happen fast.
I will not rehearse for one off fill-in gigs however. It costs me more in time and travel expenses than the gig is worth. If it's a last minute "save the gig" thing then write ACCURATE chord charts, send me recordings and if you've done your homework; then I'll do the best I can, depending on how much time I'm given.
4 hour Metro Sydney Gig: $200 Negotiable, depending on gig.

VOCALS
I have about 30 RnR and blues standards I can perform as a lead vocalist. I see myself as a contributing vocalist rather than a main lead singer.
I guess in an emergency I could pull a gigs worth together but would have to draw from material that requires more rehearsal time than straight blues material.
The vocal examples below were recorded at gigs on a cassette player quite a while ago. This is pre auto tune so what you hear is honest....warts and all.
I'd like to think my vocals have improved a little since then and I am currently putting some work into my blues style.
